5 Personalities You Meet on Ph Mountains

I’m not a hardcore climber but I usually can keep up if I was able to do a tagpi-tagping 50km run prior the climb, I am a romantic, a sentimental, tahimik, a little moody.

After a few years into the climbing scene, I have met and usually meet 5 types of climbers (sino ka kaya dito?).

1. The Rowdy  Ones

They come in groups, kwentuhan to the max, tulakan, ribbing each other at laglagan sa kwentuhan. They are usually friendly and means no harm.

You get to see some pretty or handsome ones in the group though, a face full of beard or a cute dimple. What a day to climb, the gods and diwata’s must have been listening to your pray’rs ladies.

2. The Silent Type

S/he’ll smile at you when your gazes meet but that is the end of it.

3. The Selfie Beast

Picture!

“Ouch, I think I have a sprain, pwede ba rest muna tayo?”

S/he missed having deeper connection with his/her climb buddies. Sayang!

4. The Boastful

S/he boast of the mountains s/he conquered (?). Ang tanong mo: kelan ka nagsimulang umakyat? And s/he tell you “ah Fuji, Kota Kinabalu, nag Jade mountain na din ako sa taiwan. Mount Apo? Dayhike lang yan”

Ayos sa layo nang sagot.

It’s okay to get a little mayabang since may ipagyayabang naman at pinaghirapan din syempre but then it would have been better if one imparts the lessons learned during those climbs. The risks to life and how to cope with unknown circumstances.

P.s: sagutin mo pala muna ung unang tanong.

5. The Serious/Reliable Climber

Tahimik, matulungin even putting his/her life at risk kung kelangan kaso hindi nagsheshare ng foods kasi naka pack light.

Have you already met one or two of these types? Do you prefer to hang out with the rowdy ones or with the silent type? If you’ve been hiking with different groups, you already probably did.

Lastly, I bet you also experienced this gross things while climbing, read it here.#
